Course Overview
The OCR Level 3 Sports Coaching Diploma opens the door to a dynamic and hands-on journey into the world of sports leadership, empowering students to inspire, motivate, and make a real impact in coaching and sports development.
The dynamic course combines hand on experience with expert teaching to develop your leadership, performance analysis, fitness training and athlete support. You will gain coaching experience through placements, while building the confidence and knowledge needed for a successful career in the sports industry.
The qualification is designed to be taken with one other A-Level or vocational course such as psychology.
Learners will study 9 mandatory units and 2 optional units. Topics include: Sports science, coaching, organising, performance analysis, psychology, sports injury, practical skill and activity. Units made up of internal and external assessment.
Assessment
Unit 1, Unit 3 and Unit 4 are External examined all other units internally assessed and moderated.
Entry Requirements
GCSE Maths and English Language at grade 4.
