This week, the EM6 team had the pleasure of visiting our Year 11 applicants to wish them the very best as they prepare to begin their exams. Students were delighted to receive a Good Luck card and a small chocolate treat —a simple gesture to show our support and encouragement during this important time.
Year 12 Explore Future Pathways at UCAS Discovery Exhibition
This week, our Year 12 students had the exciting opportunity to attend the UCAS Discovery Exhibition at Teesside University. The event brought together a wide range of universities from across the UK in a vibrant, marketplace-style setting. This gave students the chance to explore their post‑18 options, gather information about different courses, and speak directly with university representatives about their future pathways.
Year 13 Complete Their Final A Level Biology Practical
Year 13 have now completed their final A Level Biology practical, marking an important milestone as they near the end of their course. The practical task involved testing urine samples to identify cases of diabetes, requiring students to apply key biological knowledge alongside accurate laboratory techniques. The session highlighted not only their scientific understanding, but also the confidence and precision they’ve developed when working practically.
Easter Intervention Success
Over the Easter holidays, it was fantastic to see so many of our students giving up their time and committing themselves to the intervention timetable. Across the two-week break, nearly 100 students attended revision sessions, with an impressive 550 session attendances recorded in total. This level of dedication speaks volumes about the determination and resilience our students are showing as they prepare for the final weeks ahead.
