On Thursday, 11th December, the school hall at EM6 Hartlepool was alive with festive cheer as the Youth Voices Choir delivered their eagerly awaited Christmas concert. This inspiring event was the brainchild of two talented sixth form students, Christy and Bridget, whose shared passion for music created a wonderful opportunity for younger students to shine.
The concert showcased the incredible talent of Year 7–9 students, featuring a mix of whole-choir performances, harmonious small group pieces, and stunning solo acts. Christy and Bridget curated a repertoire of classic Christmas songs that captured the spirit of the season, ensuring something for everyone to enjoy.
Behind the scenes, the duo demonstrated exceptional leadership and organisation. From planning rehearsals to guiding performers and coordinating every detail, their dedication was evident throughout. They were supported by staff members Mr Hope, Mr Gray, and Mrs Downing, who provided invaluable assistance with linguistics and overall preparation.
Adding an artistic touch to the evening, Evan Lister, an A-level photography student, was invited to capture the magic of the event. His photographs will serve as lasting memories of a night filled with music, joy, and community spirit.
The Youth Voices Choir concert was more than just a performance—it was a celebration of teamwork, creativity, and a shared love of music. Congratulations to Christy, Bridget, and all the performers for making this event such a success!
